Buttermilk Dressing
The perfect coating to your salad.
Finding a good dressing that clings to the lettuce and tastes amazing can be difficult. There are tons of vinaigrettes, mayo-based dressings, and mid recipes that don’t quite cut it.
This is herbaceous, creamy, and perfect for a hot summer day salad. It has become a staple in our house, and I hope you enjoy it as well.
Let’s dive right in:
Ingredients
20g fresh parsley
20g fresh cilantro
2 cloves of garlic
200g buttermilk
200g mayo
200g sour cream
juice of 3 lemons
2 tablespoons good olive oil
salt & pepper to taste
1/2 teaspoon xanthan gum (optional, but gives it a cling factor)
Blend the first eight ingredients until smooth, salt and pepper to taste. Add the xanthan gum, and blend to combine.
Refrigerate for 2 hours before using.
This stores in the fridge for up to 3 days.
Put it on any salad. It tastes amazing and is refreshing.
